We have been making exciting progress with our Peru program. Right now we have a family in the country, who will soon be coming home with their daughter. They have graciously given permission for us to view their blog of their experience. To read it, follow this link:

Several of you will be soon to follow I hope! We have another dossier in the country and quite a few of you working towards getting your dossier there. The Peru program has grown tremendously over the last year and for this I am extremely thankful. We are looking forward to bringing more precious children home to their families soon.

Peru News

This is my first Peru blog post and I'm happy to bring you all up to date about our news in Peru. Since the last post from Barbara, the family for whom we were awaiting approval has not only been approved, but is now home with their child. Yeah!

We also have another family approved to adopt at this time and they are waiting to be referred their child. Let's all pray this happens soon. They are anxiously hoping for good news.

Since I began working in Peru earlier this year, I have had a number of you begin with our program, or make progress on your adoption journey. I am excited that this program is growing and I look forward to seeing you all through the process, as well as seeing future photos of your adorable children.

New Family

Well we are anxiously waiting for the approval of one of our families! We really should hear soon! And we have also started a new family along in the process. They are beginning their HS. One thing we have seen many times is how particular Peru is about the documents - they must be recent - please be careful about the dates. And they must be done just right. So work closely with me one these things!

Family home at last

We have a family who is home with their 2 new sons! Hooray!! I've added a photo for you to see. Welcome home, boys!

USCIS Approves!

We got the USCIS approval for the match! One of our families will be traveling soon to go to Peru and get their boys! We just have to wait for the invitation now!

Dossier submitted

Hooray! The recent dossier was translated, authenticated and submitted in time for almost every document (except for the children's medicals). We will wait to see if Peru requests for those to be redone. We have asked that they accept them as they were so close and since they are for the children rather than the parents. We will see. But we do have another family officially on the register over there and in process!

Families in process

As you may know, we currently have 1 family approved in Peru. They have been officially matched with 2 boys there and we are now waiting on US CIS to clear them for travel. We hope that the boys will be home VERY soon!

We also have another family that has sent their dossier over and we are waiting (anxiously) to hear that it was successfully submitted. We may need to re-do the children's medicals (they were the oldest documents being sent), but we all have our fingers crossed!

Beyond those two, we have more families in the process of building their dossiers now and so as a reminder to all - make sure to work closely with me on these documents!! Peru is very strict on the type of documents and they will not budge on the dates!
